Whats Going On
My name is Jack Hirsh and I am a senior at Pennsylvania State University, from Villanova, Pennsylvania, double-majoring in Broadcast Journalism and Political Science with a minor in Middle Eastern Studies.
I have always had a passion for golf, playing competitively throughout my life and often traveling to famous courses with my dad who is in the golf business. I was captain of my high school varsity team and plan to play on the Club Golf competition at Penn State.
I am also an avid fan of baseball, football and basketball with my favorite professional teams being the New York Yankees, the Pittsburgh Steelers and Philadelphia 76ers. I also enjoy smaller sports such as college volleyball and other olympic sports. It is my goal to attend one event of every division one team at Penn State in my time.
I forayed into journalism after serving terms in the Jewish youth group BBYO as chapter and subsequently regional vice president of communications. I don't consider myself religious but BBYO and my up-bringing have made me a proud "cultural" Jew. I hope to spend some time in college abroad in Israel.
I am also interested in both American and Middle-eastern politics and I keep a close eye regarding the various political situations.
My other interests include playing guitar, sport climbing and ultimate frisbee.
